Hi, I began playing around with one of our great Simply Scrappin’ kits and entertained myself for an evening! The challenge to myself was “don’t throw anything out” I am an obsessive “keeper of scraps.” I did use the Big Shot, (see my last post to view) love the new Swirly die and then used the scrap that it came out of for a couple of the bottom boarders. I also cut some of the stick on scraps and used a very few from my scrap pile. Not only did I get the 5 pages I also got a tag & 4 page mini book out. One photo shows how I plan to package so that I can sell at an upcoming craft fair. What Fun!

Different but Fun!
This is a 6 x 8 unframed canvas of various flowers; I picked them up at a Hancock Fabric for $1. each, they have a hanger in the back, I Modge Podge the front and start my stamping, it so happens I have some old padde
d envelopes thrown out at work so I am going to sell as ready to mail. Now the technique, I don’t know if it’s original or not but I have never seen it done . . . I stamped the flower (From The Garden Hostess Gift) Click Here on glossy white and then on tracing paper, I sponged the color and quickly used a tissue with Vaseline on it, the Vaseline gave the tracing paper a frosted look and then it curled in a matter of minutes, I really like the effect.

This is a great way to play with color combo’s, you can make my Color Ring or you can purchase one from me and then just sit and mix, match and play. I don’t know what I did without this tool it’s great.

Lemon The Clown Face painting for the kids and hand painting for the seniors, more fun than you can imagine!
I have been a clown for many years and just love face and hand painting. Painting the face of a little 5 year old who wiggles the entire time is a real artistic challenge. Well a couple of weeks ago I came up with what I think is just fantastic! I use the kids SU Tattoo Kit, it works great. You do need to watch it may run, I use the markers along with my regular neon face paint. What is really great are the stamps I use, a favorite is the butterfly from SAB Merci, they love the Unfrogettable frogs, snail and the dragonfly, all of the children’s sets work beautiful. The stamps allow me to do that wiggling face in 3 minutes instead of 15 now that’s Eggciting! Just thought I would share.

Just In Time For Dads Day!
Dads can sometimes be a little hard to shop for. I have always found that if it’s handmade my dad loves it! These are very easy to do and they give me a certain satisfaction because I recycle! That’s right, if you look close you see old belt pieces, rusty washers and bits and pieces from my many junk boxes. Many items you find around the house however I always keep my eyes open at garage sales. This is also a great way to use those scraps. I sometimes purchase new frames and some come from garage sales, those I paint and embellish so sit down at your work station and just start sorting through “stuff” you will love it!

This another frame, the arrow looking "thing" top left is off of an old western belt. I used almost all of our great punches click here on both of these samples once you begin using small punched pieces in your art you just can’t stop. Hope you will try Dad Art for your Dad this year.

Don’t You Just Love Color - Color - Color
Sometimes I like to challenge myself using colors that may not usually be used for flowers, Stampin’ Up! has such great papers click here that blend so well the flowers almost seem like they could be the variety of colors used in our SU palette. Try anything, any color and see what great fun and what great results you will get. If you would like to order this beautiful Morning Soft set just drop me line via e-mail and I have several ways you can get this set and save!

Punch Bunny Instructions
For the Clip Bunnies I buy up any strong clips or magnets I can find, usually at the dollar store. I punch the 1st layer of the face with the large tag and then the face with the small tag, I use mostly scrap. The inner ear is the small oval the outer is the large oval. I draw the face on, with a marker, the cheeks are any of our SU pinks applied with a eye shadow applicator or you can use your chalks. Tie a bow and glue it on with clear must be clear caulk, $2.95 at the hardware, that is how I attach the bunny to the clip also, I use caulk a lot if it is something I really don’t want to move. Add a little Dazzling Diamonds and you are good to go, these cost under $.50 each and I clip them to everything, bank deposit, when I pay bills, when I give the check to the grocery, people love them. This was originally done as a craft project for some elderly handicapped folks, if you cut everything they have a great time putting it together. As well as the Punch Bunny Card.
Punch Bunny Card I used the brayer on the sample but when I do as a project for my kids I use green or yellow paper. Body is 2 ½ in circle, face is scallop punch, ears are the 2 oval punches, the fence is the word window punch with the tops cut off and draw a line connecting the fence posts and then I just add punched flowers and glitter I used a flower for the tail but the other day my kids wanted cotton tails and they looked really cute. Hoppy Stampin’ Up!

This is an EggCiting Color Swatch that I use to keep my colors straight and organized. It includes the 4 color families and the Spring 2008 In-Colors. Below are the instructions for making this swatch and I have attached the template for the colors and there coordinates. The second attachment is for the Tab labels. On both sets of labels I used Avery Label # 8167 there are 80 labels to a sheet. If you want to order a swatch for yourself or to give as a gift to your downline, they also make great door prizes! They are assembled with the Regal & Earth & In Color on one side and the Soft & Bold on the other. The ring is the only thing you need to add, about 20 cents, I don’t include it because it jumps the shipping up another .42 cents, the joint holds the two groups separate, the paperclip separates them on the other side and can be used to hang at your work station. The prices are as follows and include the shipping:
